Minibus
Our Community Minibus has been provided by the Department of Transport through the Community minibus fund. Currently our minibus is self-
Its purpose is to ensure the elderly and disabled in the Hinckley & Bosworth area have the opportunity to use accessible transport to help reduce social isolation improving their quality of life.
- Our minibus is a Mercedes 16 seater (plus driver)
- It will carry 1 wheelchair (non transferable passenger) which can be clamped but this does lower the seating capacity by 2 seats
- We are able to carry foldable wheelchairs and walkers although this may reduce the seating capacity
- There is low floor access and we have a hydraulic tail lift which makes boarding easier if required
- Our driver is fully trained and is experienced working with the elderly and disabled
- To be able to utilise the Minibus service we require you to register with Hinckley & Bosworth Community Transport. (Click here for our Registration Form)
Hire
Our minibus can be hired (with a driver) by groups at reasonable rates which are charged on an hourly rate and by the mileage (click here for hire charges). We are only too pleased to offer ideas for suitable destinations for group visits, etc. (click here for proposed outings)
Shopping
We also run regularly shopping trips to local supermarkets (click here for details)
